Philadelphia Boys Choir

AS A city of many firsts, Philadelphia has also carried some of the US’ longest traditions.

The City of Brotherly Love, as it’s referred to, was the first capital of the US and started the country’s first daily newspaper, in 1784.

Other first include its zoo, hospital, and a continually running theatre.

And for 50 years, America’s oldest boy choir has been on song.

The award-winning Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale are known as the singing ambassadors of the US and will show why their reputation has been established as they lift their voices at the Esplanade Concert Hall on 7 July evening.

The 100-strong full ensemble will sing classics and songs from musicals, spirituals and more. The much-travelled choir has joined voices with celebrities like Vanessa Williams and Luciano Pavarotti.

The one-night only show on Saturday 7 July 2018 starts at 7.30pm. Tickets from $15 to $55 available at www.sistic.com.
